During our meeting on 3/3, the Committee on Government Regulations voted unanimously to amend Chapter 1 General Provisions. The changes included the following:
- Copying Sections 7-4, 7-5, 7-6, and 7-7 of the Charter that previously had been incorporated by reference;
- Fixing hyperlinks to Sections 7-4, 7-5, 7-6, and 7-7 of the Charter;
- Alphabetizing, updating, deleting where obvious or irrelevant, and expanding definitions in Section 3; and
- Fixing the hyperlink to the Town Seal.
Note that there are scrivener's errors in the voted chapter, as section titles were added that are unnecessary as they will be added by the vendor who implements the formatting and printing of the bylaw chapters, references to Mass General Law will be standardized to match other chapters, and "two-thirds vote" was stricken twice.
